Origins of IKOLOGIKS
the time when the first training programs were launched in Atlanta, Georgia in 1979. In 1989 (some ten years later) the ideas embodied in 'Ecologics/Ikologiks theory' were made available to a global audience with the creation of a non- profit organization/corporation NGO known as the AUM- International Academy of Ikologiks (Ecologics) & Advanced Studies, Inc. It was decided in 1991 to change the spelling of the word 'Ecologics' to the current 'Ikologiks' to avoid confusion with references or meanings tied to the traditional definition of biological "ecology" or by limiting our focus to just environmental studies or issues. However, the basic meaning of the term has never changed. The word 'iko=life. logiks=system of reasoning' has been the primary label affixed to the theory that emerged from the 'Nine Principles of Life.' These nine ideographs, pictographs, mandalas, and yantras were revealed in 1977 to the founder of Ikologiks theory Roger Martin Davis (Adisa Maina Omar). In 2007 a significant change took place in the reorganization of the original AUM-IAIAS, Inc. (International Academy of Ikologiks and Advanced Studies, Inc.) founded in 1989. The original AUM-IAIAS, Inc. was a non-profit educational institution, which focused from 1989 to 2007 on first formulating and then perfecting the concepts embodied in 'Ikologiks theory' and the Nine Principles of Life. The AUM-IAIAS, Inc. was recognized as an official "NGO" (non-governmental organization) in 2005 and this role is being served through the successor known as the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies. The ICGS continues to focus on the global dissemination of information on Ikologiks theory and the Nine Principles of Life as the former IAIAS, Inc. was constituted and commissioned to perform. In addition, the newly organized ICGS offers educational materials and select programs to especially address the transformational needs of the less affluent nations of Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The ICGS performs this global mission in direct methods of assistance in order to circumvent the traditional methods employed by social charitable agencies. Our official website www.ikologiks.org was launched in 2003 to offer the world an opportunity to explore general information about the work of the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies (ICGS). You can gain deeper insights about the 'theory of Ikologiks,' 'Central Philosophy' or learn more about the 'Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life' by surfing through the pages of this websites. In 2005 we launched the sister website www.ikologiks.com which will host our online campus. We also maintain the domain of www.ikologiks.net. |

We would only see the swirls of clouds and the blue-green mass of the oceans all churning in blissful rotation. The very churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, altars, and shaman ritual places that you revere so much, and some would even die for, seem so meaningless from the distant vantage point of space. If we could just one time in our meditation transport our consciousness beyond the realm of ideologies, dogma, and rituals we might return to our Earthly abodes with a new sense of transcendental awareness.
