1955 - 1970
April 4th, 1955 is the birth-year of the founder of the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies Roger M. Davis (aka, Adisa Maina Omar). Roger Davis grew up in
the Edenwald Public Housing Development in the Northeast Bronx, NY along with an older step-brother and step-sister. The early childhood experiences
of Adisaji that were instrumental in the development of the current Ikologiks will be detailed a forthcoming autobiography entitled "In the Shadow of a
    Red Lotus."
In the early years of his life from  1955 - 1970 Roger Davis was know for his sharp mind often called "the professor" by his fellow playmates. His first grade
teacher (Ms. Raeborn) remarked to his mother at a Teacher/Parent conference -- " I think he (Roger) has the mind of a lawyer" ... at such a young age he
has clear debating, reading communication skills."  More ...
1970 - 1980
In the year 1970, at the age of 15 years old Davis founded a non-profit environmental organization (Bronx Environmental Society, Inc.) and served at its
first Executive Director. He also would leave the NYC Public School system a year later and receive a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Fieldston
School (under the auspices of the NY Ethical Culture Society).  In 1972, Davis was appointed as an advisor to numerous environmental organizations
including the U.S. EPA-Region II  Youth Advisory Board.  Later, upon completion of his term of service with the EPA he was awarded a special citation
by then President Richard M. Nixon for his "outstanding contributions in the cause of environmental protection in the nation".
In 1973 Davis departed the Bronx, New York to attend Cornell University where he continued his interest in environmental studies, political activism and
his emerging interest in spirituality, which led to the revealing of the "9 Principles of Life."

1980 -1990
The opening of Papyrus Record Emporium in 1981 and later the AKU Tape Discount Center in 1982 were developed in order to provide economic
self-sufficiency to the fledgling Ecologics training programs after their initial release in Atlanta, Georgia in 1979. Adisa wanted to avoid
dependency on foundations or governmental assistance, which is a policy that still exists in the present formation of the Ikologiks Center for
    Global Studies .
In 1983 Adisa made the historic  announcement of the formation of the Alkebu-lan Unification Movement (AUM) at the MLK library in
Washington, DC (August) with the publishing of the 'First Articles of Appeal ...". It sparked yet another radical turning point in the evolution of
Ecologics theory and the percusor known as the 'black ecology' thesis that had shaped the early developmental stages of the
conceptualizations Adisa established as  'Ecologics' theory in the 1970s with the founding the prior Bronx Environmental Society, Inc. in New
York. 1984 he would take his first pilgrimage to India beginning his association with spiritual teachers and quest to establish the validity of what
he had received in a meditative state as the Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life in 1977.  More ...
1990 - 2000
In 1990 a one-hour video documentary was released entitled "Ecologics: The Silent Revolution." The newly created non-profit organization
(1989) entered into the international arena with the organizing of a 'Pro-Peace Rally & Spiritual Gathering' at American University coinciding
with the first Gulf War (Iraq).
In 1991 the name 'Ecologics' was officially changed to "Ikologiks" and the training programs and work of the organization was now officially
opened to all people regardless of race, religion, or nationality, while previously it had largely focused on the black & latino communities.
In 1992 Adisaji returned to India and upon his return in April helped the AUM-IAIAS, Inc. in organizing a conference entitled the
"Encampment of Black Survival" at Howard University in the aftermath of the 'Rodney King riots' in Los Angeles. The idea was to develop
dialogue on the psycho-spiritual dimensions of racism. The AUM-IAIAS, Inc. as part of its growing global outreach participated in the
worldwide 11:11 Star Alignment Ceremonies held under the auspices of Solara. Adisaji in early 1993 returned to India in his continuing
efforts to explore the relevance of Indian spirituality to Ikologiks. More ...
2000 - 2005
The entering of the new millennium took the work of the AUM-IAIAS, Inc. into a revival period with the establishment of new offices at the Dove Landing
Office complex in Virginia Beach, VA. Adisa began increasing his focus on writing projects rather the previous efforts at training programs and meditation
retreats/intensives that had characterized much of his works in the 1980s through 1990s. However, his efforts to revive interest in Ikologiks theory was met
with skepticism and resistance by the increasingly dogmatic nature of those believing their existing spiritual beliefs or principles were enough. In the
aftermath of 911 Adisa decided it was time to leave the USA and begin his work in spreading awareness about Ikologiks theory globally. His first focus was
in the Republic of Korea (South Korea) where he also took a faculty teaching position at Keimyung University in the city of Daegu and later taught at
Youngsan University in the port city of Busan.
In 2004 Adisaji enrolled himself in the Graduate School of International Studies at Korea University in order to increase his understanding of International
Relations and the consequences of globalization as related to Ikologiks theory. During his time in South Korea he was able to attract a small following of
students interested in Ikologiks and the "Nine Principles of Life." It was at that time he met Sue Jeong Ka and Hyo Gyn who assisted in his efforts.  More ...
2006 -
Upon his departure from South Korea Adisaji returned to the USA and located in Raleigh, North Carolina & Greenville, NC. Numerous
unsuccessful attempts were made to develop awareness & interest in Ikologiks theory during this time period. Although, there sparks of interest
the region was largely apathetic when it came to embracing ideas that seemingly did not confirm to existing models of social organization found in
politics, economics & religion. Adisaji was suffering from some major health problems which led to the virtual demise of the former AUM-IAIAS,
Inc. and with a new vision in mind he launched the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies, which had been a dream of his since 1999. The ambitious
programs and ideas embodied in the ICGS for the establishment of a global online campus community and the erecting of both a virtual and actual
campus have been thwarted by lack of funding and support.
In 2007 Adisaji decided to live in India, where he now resides semi-permanently seeking to generate interest in both the ICGS and the idea of
establishing intentional living communities based on Ecoism and the "9 Principles of Life."
