Q. Will I really save money?
A. YES! We work with a special team of Airline consolidators, local
hotels, tour operators, and we provide you with an English-speaking
confidant the entire time of your stay (usually 2 - 4 weeks). We will
arrange for your hospital stay at ONLY the top-rated hospitals in the host
country (usually India, or South Korea) and you will be given their
websites, credentials and we encourage you to contact the hospital
directly prior to your trip to ask them about your specific medical concerns.
Q. Is my trip confidential & private?
A. YES! We take your privacy very seriously and once we arrange you
arrange a contract with us we will issue to you a Certificate that
Guarantees Full Patient Confidentiality. None of our consultant team that
works with you will ever intervene or interfere with your medical
treatments, records or doctor visits or hospital stays in anyway.
Furthermore, once you are admitted to the hospital you will be in charge
of all your care or therapy and our consultant team will only interact with
you to make sure you are comfortable, contact your relatives if required or
make the arrangements for your accommodations once you are released
from the hospital.
Q. Who is liable if anything happens to me?
A. This is an important question. Unfortunately, "Iko-Medtrips" a
division of the AUM-IAIAS, Inc. can not assume legal responsibility for any
part of your travel, hospital stay or medical treatments. We maintain a
standard liability insurance policy, however, your contract with us is solely
for consultant services. We suggest all travelers obtain private "travel
insurance" (Policies should cover medical expenses while abroad, if your
current medical plan does not cover treatments outside the USA).
Additionally, we encourage travelers to make sure they obtain appropriate
legal advice from their personal attorney in the event they are dissatisfied
in any manner with their medical care and need to take legal action
(malpractice case) against the hospital in the foreign country. Normally,
as a non-resident/citizen of the host country your legal rights are limited.
Therefore, should recognize there is some risks, but already hundreds of
thousands of people have made medical trips on their own without our
services and few if any have reported negative experiences. The main
thing is to choose the right hospital facility with a reputation that can be
adequately verified.
