Introducing the ICGS
The Ikologiks Center for Global Studies (I.C.G.S.) is the visionary outgrowth of over 25 years of combined research,
experimentation, and analysis of a host of geo-political, economic, socio-cultural, religious and spiritual global processes,
which the founder and current Chancellor, Roger M. Davis (aka, Adisa Maina Omar) has engaged upon
throughout his lifetime. The ICGS centers upon the advancement of human knowledge through what is termed applied
"transformation technology"  (TT) in order to guide humanity beyond the current embedded paradigm centered on
Information Technology (IT) and materialism. As such, the ICGS focuses on preparing students enrolled in our various
course offerings a means to transform themselves (within) and the world (without). The main vehicle to enable this
process is brought-forth by having students engage the "IKOLOGIKS: NINE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE" and the study
of 'Ikologiks Theory' and 'Central Philosophy'.

The ICGS is not modeled upon the traditional western stylized academic institutions or curriculum structures which are
centering on philosophy, comparative religion, human spirituality, global studies, international relations, political science
or world politics as individuated centers of study as currently upheld in the 'university' system. Instead, this institution
has developed an eclectic, diversified and transformational academic program, curriculum structure and sound
pedagogic approach to the issues pertinent to the affects/effects of globalization upon humanity and planetary
consciousness from an integrated, holistic, multiversity paradigm. Consequently, the I.C.G.S. is serving as an academic
institution which does not adhere to a particular or precise religious, political, economic, ideological or cultural dogma or
tradition. Instead, it seeks to embrace and integrate them all irregardless of ideological view.

    ICGS Founder/Chancellor -- A Visionary

Roger M. Davis (aka, Adisa Maina Omar) is a Graduate of Cornell University and has attended the Graduate
School of International Studies at Korea University. The I.C.G.S. although the "brain child" mainly of Roger
Davis (Adisa Maina Omar) does not totally follow his own personal perspectives, teachings or philosophical outlook in
terms of fulfilling the vision of this academic program or mission. However, the I.C.G.S. offers all students a chance to
explore the Ikologiks theoretical model and the much acclaimed IKOLOGIKS: NINE PRINCIPLES OF LIFE in the
same way that often most universities which were founded by particular religious faiths or nation states offer their
curriculum relevant to their founding principles. So whether "Catholic Universities", "Marxist based Universities",
"Western Humanism" or "Islamic Universities", etc., most of them offer their students an education without necessarily
forcing them to either follow or internalize the ideas or ideals affixed to their particular religious or political ideologies.
The students who come to the ICGS therefore do so out of an intense desire to break out of the "box" or "matrix" of
traditional thinking in regards to the problems facing humanity or their attainment of higher consciousness, human
transformation and potential. To this cause the Founder/Chancellor is committed.

Creation of A Global Online Campus

Unique to the development of the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies is our ambitious goal to develop a global "online" campus that will bring
students from diverse nations, races, ethnic, religious, political, and philosophical groups into a multiversity global "think-tank." We have
embarked on this historic challenge and mission, because we believe that the majority of current "centers for global studies" are largely the
creation of well established western academic institutions. Those universities continue to perpetuate the hegemony of western definitions, values and
economic policies on the question of globalization, the "new world order" or global governance. Moreover, these western educational models are
increasingly designed to primarily serve the interests of corporations, the business community seeking skilled workers (jobs) or the plutocratic
governments serving their interests.  The modern western academic institutions are refraining from tackling head-on the complex array of problems
facing humanity in the 21st century by developing a "people centered" or "humane" framework. This is largely because they are beholding to their
funding sources from corporations, foundations and government grants to perpetuate their institutions of higher learning. The financial "noose" around
their necks make them merely prostitutes in perpetuating the interests of those wanting to maintain the status quo and for using education as a means
to create a dedicated managerial class for their workers, or for their factories, plants and offices of the future. We oppose such trends, plain & simple!

It is therefore through the development of a global "online" campus as envisioned by the ICGS founder that will attempt to recruit faculty from a
multitude of backgrounds, nations and intellectual outlooks or perspectives in order to engage themselves and interact with students in order to
empower them to usher forth a new world "freedom" rather than a "new world order". The current "new world order" is structured in control, coercion
and manipulation. We seek to establish a "new global freedom" centered in human potential. The online campus is a dynamic chance to achieve a
"true multiversity" of ideas that draws upon the contributions of all cultures and perspectives and knowledge, with the implicit recognition that all
peoples on this planet have value, not just those claiming a hegemony, or not solely the elites, intellectuals, upper classes, business leaders or politicians.

Such a perspective, as outlined above, will most certainly be purposeful & instrumental in building a globalization model which is aimed at the
transformation of humanity and the elevation of consciousness without regard to gender, racial, class, caste or other barriers to human
potential. While, it is clear that most typical universities or colleges today are enrolling thousands on their online or physical campuses. It is the goal of
the ICGS to eventually enroll millions in the pursuit of their individual academic goals and the contributions they will afford the world as a result.
OUR MOTTO: "transforming lives, from within & without" is the main feature of our educational model.

    ICGS Mission

The principal mandate and overall mission of the ICGS is first the development of an eclectic, holistic and synergistic
educational research oriented online campus of study with support from a set of evolving physical "hubs" or "cells"
being placed around the world. Our main goal therefore is to establish such an online campus (Internet based)
whereupon anyone in the world, no matter their financial background or educational training, can gain access to
knowledge related to the impact of globalization on human consciousness. Our second mission goal is to establish a
physical campus based somewhere on the planet that serves as a beacon of "light" for all those embracing the high ideals
being set-forth with the launching of the ICGS.

Again, the specific research methodology underpinning the ICGS curriculum initiatives is based upon Ikologiks
Theory, Central Philosophy and the Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life. However, the overall curriculum and research
focus extends itself well beyond these philosophical perspectives in order to embrace other relevant theories,
philosophies, theological perspectives or even alternative educational models dealing with our comprehensive
understanding of life processes, social-praxis, spirituality and consciousness in the context of global policies and
institutions of global governance. Therefore, the Center is committed to offering traditional subject matter commonly
found throughout the social and natural sciences such as philosophy, architecture, ESL, biology, chemistry,
physics, psychology, education, information technology(IT), business, accounting, etc.  Moreover, the ICGS
intends to incorporate into its main academic structure a multitude of knowledge and wisdom teachings that goes beyond
what is specifically identified or stated in the Ikologiks paradigm. These ideas are obtained from the various schools of
materialist and metaphysical philosophy held throughout the world cultures and civilizations. The ICGS is therefore
quite eager to maintain a pedagogical focus uniquely attuned to cultural diversity and respect for all political, cultural,
religious or spiritual traditions that have emerged on this planet throughout the ages. Your active involvement in this
process as a student is important and we don't see students as mere sponges that must absorb verbatim what is being
spoon-fed to them by faculty or instructors. Instead, we encourage students to engage their faculty/instructors in
healthy debate, criticism, self-criticism and through their shared experiences evolve an education model that is profusely
student centered and rooted in human potential.

Lastly, our mission entails the most difficult task of getting students to reject their current thinking about the purpose of
"higher education". Today, most students see college or university studies as the means to secure a "good job" or establish
their professional career path. While the ICGS does not totally oppose that rationale, nevertheless, we suggest such a
focus breeds, selfishness, cynicism and negligence when it comes to social responsibility and civic action. Therefore, we
hope to return the focus of "higher education" to the idea of developing the individual as a contributor to society and not
one who seeks merely selfish gain or rewards for academic excellence or pursuits.
