Adisa Maina Omar (Roger M. Davis)

    Adisa Maina Omar (Roger M. Davis) is the founder of the Ikologiks Center for Global
    Studies. He was born April 4th 1955 in the City of New York and is a graduate of Cornell
    University, where he obtained his B.Sci. Degree in Developmental Psychology (Human
    Development & Family Studies) in 1978. He also received his certification in 1986
    (Diploma in Yoga Therapy) from the Indian Institute of Yoga and he attended the Korea
    University Graduate School of International Studies (Seoul, South Korea) majoring in
    Korean Studies.

    Adisa Maina Omar has taught students on the primary, secondary and high school levels as
    well as adults. He has taught ESL on the university level at Keimyung University and
    Youngsan University in South Korea between the years from 2003 - 2006, along Business
    English for the Korean Federation of Industries. His teaching skills have been especially
    utilized in his over twenty-five years of service in teaching Ikologiks theory, intensives and
    programs worldwide.

    In his early youth Roger Davis (Adisa) founded the Bronx Environmental Soceity, Inc. in
    1970. Davis received a U.S. Presidential Citation in 1972 (President Nixon) for his work on
    issues related to the environment and also served as an advisor to the U.S. Environmental
    Protection Agency from 1971 - 1973. In 1972 he became the youngest person in recent USA
    history to receive a federally funded research grant (U.S. Dept. of Human Services) that
    was based on a grant proposal he authored on behalf of the Bronx Environmental Society,
    Inc. without even attaining any degree status in higher education.

    Davis was a former consultant to the Institute of the Black World, Howard University School
    of Communications, Progressive Life Center, Institute for Applied Spiritual Technology,
    Mayor's Youth Leadership Institute (Wash. , DC) and a host of other non-profit, civic,
    academic and governmental organizations. He was a co-founder of the Southern Collective
    of Afro-American Writers and the Moja Jama Cultural Center both originally based in
    Atlanta Georgia. In the 1980s he also served as Executive Director of the Stress Aid
    Institute and co-founded the International Academy of Ikologiks & Advanced Studies, Inc. in
    1989, which was the precursor to the Ikologiks Center for Global Studies.

    Adisa Maina Omar developed his spiritual and transformational ideals throughout the 80s
    and into the 1990s as he traveled to Egypt, India, Cuba and other places in his search for
    tools useful to the teaching of the Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life. He has studied the
    teachings and took initiations with such spiritual teachers as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
    (TM), Swami Muktananda/Guru Mayi/Nityananda (Syda Yoga), Yoruba Temple, Unity
    Church, Temple of God Movement, Academy for Future Science (Keys of Enoch, Hurtak),
    Star-borne - Solara 11:11, Ananda Marga (Prout Universalist), Karuana Mayi, and the
    renowned Indian Avatar Sri Satya Sai Baba. He is a former member of the Association for
    the Study of Classical African Civilizations, TESOL and has been an ongoing active
    member of the IAYT ( International Association of Yoga Therapists).

Exploring the Ikologiks:
Nine Principles of Life
An introduction to the founding principles underlying the thirty year history
underpinning the Ikologiks theory, training programs & Iko-Meditation Technique.
Students will examine in detail the Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life
ideographs/pictographs in the context of globalization.
Iko-Meditation Technique - Level One
Advanced Training
Program
Students will receive the regular 15 hour course initiation into the practice of the
Iko-Meditation Technique - Level One as discussed in the book "Practicing the in
learning advanced training modules that have never before been introduced to
students practicing this meditation technique.
