The Ikologiks Center for Global Studies as a non-profit educational organization & NGO is
seeking to offer a variety of educational alternatives to the international community as it pertains to
globalization, sustainable development, the environment, poverty, racism, gender bias and
oppression, world health and the spiritual transformation of humanity to a higher plain of
consciousness.
The ICGS has several ambitious goals such as establishing a global research center that will
support and serve as a "public interest" think-tank. The main vehicle for these plans include
the development of an institution of "advanced" higher education to be called the 'Ikologiks
University.' The ICGS seeks to offer specific educational programs and services that are to be
offered at a nominal cost. Especially, in countries that have been "under-developed" due to past
occurrences of colonialism, imperialism, slavery and military conquest. We believe that 'education'
is the most potent weapon in the elimination of poverty, oppression, repression and totalitarianism in
the future. IT IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT & should not be subject to one's caste,
race, class, gender or religion as often seen throughout the world. With the emergence of global
economic structures (WTO, IMF, World Bank, etc.) it is important to make sure that all nations
have an equal ability to develop their citizenry on an equal and competitive footing through education. It has
been said, "you give a man a fish and he eats for one day, but if you teach him to fish he can

What We Believe
What Are Our Funding Sources & Support Base?
- The ICGS does not hold sway to any particular dogma, "ism" or ideology. While some might see the 'Ikologiks: Nine Principles of Life' (official teaching methodology)
as an ideology or dogma, nevertheless, the ICGS strives hard not to force a "belief" system on our students or indoctrinate them into a prescribed belief system.
Instead, the ICGS seeks to offer a "road map" or "ala-cart menu" of choices that each aspirant can partake of along their personal journey to higher consciousness. We
call this approach 'Central Philosophy' as a meaningful divergence from the traditional East/West paradigm found almost uniformly around the world. The direct
application of this process being 'Transformation Technology (TT).''
We also believe that each human being has a POTENTIAL that must be nurtured and supported, but not made submissive to career, religion or patriotic zeal.
What Are Our Funding Sources & Support Base?
- The ICGS is sustained almost entirely (99.99%) by the generous gifts and donations coming from 'global partners', donors and supporters. As an official policy,
the ICGS does not seek funding from governments, corporate foundations or other bodies that would regulate or impair the integrity of the pedagogic
approaches and curriculum fostered through our academic programs and services.
The ICGS does derive limited income or resources from tuition fees, program fees and the sale of books, videos and other materials relevant to our work. In addition,
we receive some funds from sponsored events, conferences, etc. or support obtained from other organizations with similar goals. So without the support of people
like you and our growing number of "global partners" the outreach work of the ICGS would be limited or even impossible.
The planned establishment of the "Ikologiks NGO Foundation" as a mechanism for those wishing to support our work through a financially transparent traditional non-
profit mechanism (tax-exempt status) is being considered by our "global partners". The Ikologiks-NGO Foundation would be independent of the current NGO and might
be allowed to accept funds from corporate givers (foundations) on behalf of the AUM-IAIAS, Inc. ICGS.
The Global Question
When the ICGS was originally founded in 1989 (as the
AUM-International Academy of Ikologiks &
Advanced Studies, Inc.). From the outset, our
collective vision was to impact and have a "say" about
the current debate on globalization and the ideal of
human transformation (Transformation Technology -TT) as a
guidepost beyond our current Information Technological (IT)
age by setting a framework for the "transforming lives
from within & without.
The ICGS as an outgrowth, is seeking to engage all of
humanity into a global conversation about globalization.
We also seek to develop a uniquely structured human
education process in order to balance and have an
influence on alternatives to the current economic
emphasis that globalization policies have taken after the
Post-World II Bretton-Woods Accords and the arrival of
the UN as a replacement for the original League of
Nations. We categorically reject the current model of
globalization that focuses almost exclusively on economic
linkages (WTO, NAFTA, GATT, CFR, IMF, WB,
etc.) and at the same time marginalizes and ignores the
issues of the global environment, social and political
cohesion/coherance or the need to foster trans-cultural
unity and the transformation in human consciousness on
this the planet. So our goal is first inform and then
re-educate the world civic community on alternatives.
Secondly, the ICGS has been seeking since our
inception in 1989 to generate worldwide interest in
transformation technology (TT) as opposed to just
information technology (IT) as a principal means and
methodology to build a world of no walls, boundaries,
divisions, or barriers as they are currently rooted and
constituted in the myriad of religious, racial, ethnic, or
national cultural differences, divisions and interest
groups. Simultaneously, the ICGS seeks to accomplish
such broad and encompassing goals without ignoring,
dis-respecting, dis-honoring or devaluing the heritage
and contributions made by the diverse cultural groupings
that have been existing or flourishing independently on
this planet throughout the ages.

Thus we believe there needs to be a new world body this is created by, supported by & defined by existing INDEPENDENT NGOs (those who do NOT take money from corporations, foundations, governments or the UN) to set a global code of ethics similar to the governance of the Internet domains by "WHO-IS" or trade associations. About 'Global Partnerships'
Our Current Organizational Structure
- In 2007 the ICGS was restructured from the original organizational set-up operating behind the former International Academy of Ikologiks & Advanced Studies, Inc. established in
1989. That organization was established as membership based entity. The restructuring eliminates the old "membership" structure and replaces it with our new "Global Partners"
or global partnership approach. Another revision is planned to take place in 2010 to simplify the process even further by which someone can affiliate with the ICGS anywhere in
the world with a "click of a button". The new focus is to engage global citizens in all aspects of our work and the governing structure of this NGO whether as students, faculty,
staff, volunteers or financial givers. We hope you will become a "global partner" in the future and visit our application pages on this website.
Our Current Organizational Structure
- The ICGS currently maintains a provisional hierarchal structure that is in accord with our existing by-laws. Through our "global partners" the ICGS functions on the basic premise that
is ascribed to by true democratic and consensus building approaches methods which many NGOs adhere to in their organizational structures . In seeking consensus building in
most aspects of our operations the ICGS operates in accord with the guidelines established in our Official By-Laws adopted in 1989 and revised in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2004 & 2007
respectively.

 | What exactly is the purpose of your organization? |
- We foremost are a global educational organization seeking to raise consciousness through
an approach we call "applied transformation technology". This includes things like:
meditation, yoga, religious studies, scientific research, phenomenological
study, and the examination of all realms of existing knowledge, philosophy and
wisdom. The prime mechanism for doing this is through what are called the "Ikologiks:
Nine Principles of Life. While our emphasis is on education, we do conduct various
humanitarian projects as well as engage in activist work or media events.

- The answer to both questions is a firm NO! However, we welcome people of all faiths, we
also welcome non-believers, agnostics, atheists and people of all political persuasions to
work with our NGO. Our only goal is increase human awareness, consciousness through

within and without.
